Lauritzen Bulkers welcomes 3 new vessels to the fleet

Lauritzen Bulkers welcomes 3 new vessels to the fleet! The company has delighfully announced that it has recently welcomed Italian Bulker, Iberian Bulker and African Bulker in the companys' fleets.

Italian Bulker (pictured) is a supra-max built in 2017. She is 199.98 m long and 32.24 m beam with a dwat of 63,482 mt. The vessel was taken over by Lauritzen Bulkers off Manilla in the Phillippines on 2 December and departed again right away to load her next cargo. 

Iberian Bulker was taken over on 5th December in Alexandria, Egypt. She is a modern bulk carrier also built in 2017 - abt 37,668 mt dwat on a draft of 10.54 m. She is fitted with 4 cranes each capable of lifting up to 30.5 ts each enabling her to load and discharge where no shore cranes are available.

African Bulker was taken over today, 12th December, becoming the 5th vessel taken over by Lauritzen Bulkers this year. African Bulker is a Japanese-built "logger type" - meaning the vessel is fitted for loading logs both under and on deck. The vessel was built in 2015 and is 36,228 mt dwat. The vessel is fitted with a "scrubber" making her more environmentally friendly. She is now on her way to load her next cargo.
